I am Hedy Ben Hmida, a founder, publisher, and creative director. I built Tunez Magazine as a refusal of tired representation, second-hand narratives, and the idea that culture from this side of the Mediterranean needs translation to matter.

Through Tunez, I have built more than a magazine. I am developing an ecosystem that brings together editorial work, creative production, cultural archives, music, photography, and contemporary Tunisian culture. Each project I create is driven by editorial rigour, strong visual direction, and a deep connection to Tunisia and its evolving cultural identity.

I work across journalism, editorial production, creative direction, photography, and cultural curation. I collaborate with writers, photographers, musicians, artists, designers, and cultural institutions to tell stories and create projects that contribute to a Tunisian modernism that feels confident, contemporary, and unapologetically ambitious.

My work is rooted in Tunisia, but my perspective is Mediterranean and global. I am interested in preserving what deserves to be remembered while creating new ways to represent how Tunisia looks, sounds, and feels today.
